to myself, to remember all the ways to tend to this body, to nurture this body, this gift so I can show up for those around me

for the knowledge deep seeded in my bones, planted with love and tenderness, weeded with strong lessons

left to grow wild

left to grow strong rooted and resilient

left to grow free

my mother has always grown such beautiful gardens, there was always a bouquet or food basket to be made for the visitor, the neighbour, the teacher. This abundance was never lost on me, a lesson in everything this earth has to offer if we tend to it, if we listen, if we come back to it again and again, so we can share its wealth to nourish and uplift those around us.

to me our future sounds like remembering. Remembering how we got here and how we can take care of where we are now to nurture and share in its abundance.
